A private yoga practitioner will work with you to develop your own personal practice, centered on your goals and specific healing needs, allowing you to tap into your true nature. Yoga is intended to be a uniquely private practice, structured for the individual so that specific healing and transformation can begin.

Public yoga classes can be extremely beneficial, plus, one can enjoy the company of like minded individuals. However, class instructors cannot always guide you when it comes to doing the specific postures your body needs most and craves. Depending on class size, the attention to postural alignment and staying free from injury may not be a possibility. Class pace varies from slow moving to quickly changing postures, so it's important to practice at your ideal speed.

Securing a private yoga teacher gives you a total focus on your unique needs and desires. A special practice can be developed depending on your body type, past and current injuries and pain as well as your emotional outlook and goals. Students may seek out yoga for weight loss, stress management, back care and posture, strength and flexibility, spiritual connection, recovery from illness or any number of issues. In private one on one sessions, you can better learn how to create a personal practice to help you flourish and grow.
