he time to implement Solar Water Heating into your home or business is NOW!!! The federal and state tax credits recently passed have never been better and the utility companies are offering incredible incentive rebates. There is a limited amount of utility rebate money left and once it is gone, the main utility companies in Arizona (APS and SRP) will not be paying for the system by offering the rebates. Solar water heating is already mandated in Hawaii for new residential homes and California and Arizona are in serious discussions. What does this mean to you? The state will take the tax credit away and the utility companies will not be issuing rebate checks, making it more expensive for you to realize the savings of a solar water heating system. Arizona is one of the hottest states in the country and solar simply makes sense.

Solar water heating (solar thermal) is the most cost effective upgrade you can make into going “green” and using alternative energy. An average home can spend up to 25% of its energy costs on heating water; second only to air conditioning costs. The solar thermal system will save you money immediately and as utility rates go up, so do your savings. In Arizona, using the sun as a power source is an intelligent decision and definitely makes financial sense.
Even when a home is being converted to overall solar power, a solar water heater must be installed and installing one will not interfere with future plans for total conversion.
