BALANCING ENERGY USING FENG SHUI

Feng Shui is the art and science of balancing the energy of your surround
ings to encourage whole health, wellbeing and fortune. Everything is energy. Everything posesses energy. Energy is constantly moving around us. Proper placement of furnishings and use of materials in our environment, helps us keep those energies flowing in the optimum directions.

In order for Feng Shui to work, the foundation must be laid. Clean air, Natural Light and Clutter Clearing are absolute musts in order to capture balanced energy in a space.

WEALTH: The southeast region of your space is the energy area tied to prosperity. Use wood elements, Avoid metal, Lot's of green foliage, Use images of water, a fountain, fishbowl, etc., Blue, green and brown are good color choices, Keep Citrine Crystals or Pyrite, No trash can!

HEALTH: A clean uncluttered kitchen, use cool colors (stay away from red in the kitchen for optimal health energy, although not entirely a bad choice) and keep taboo foods out of the pantry (See Kitchen Guidelines Below). Pay attention to the views upon entrance to each space, Make walls that you spend much time facing, disappear, by placing inspirational images on them, or family photos. Place a round mirror in the east area. Keep the bedroom door closed at night while sleeping.

BEDROOMS: Remove the television, computer and exercise equipment! No clutter, Keep closet and bathroom doors closed, Open windows often for good air quality, Place plants as far away from the bed as possible, No mirror directly across from the bed, Use candles in the bedroom, Be careful not to display only images of what it is you would like to manifest in your life. The bed should be accesible from both sides and kept looking good and not facing the door or under a window.

BATHROOMS: Avoid draining energy by keeping doors and toilet lids closed. Close the lid before flushing! Keep it clean, attractive and serene. Use candles and calm, soothing colors. Place mirror on outside of door to keep energy from going in.

KITCHEN: Light yellow is best color choice for kitchen. Avoid blue and black. Keep clean and clutter free. If you have a choice, avoid locating the kitchen near an exit to the outside. Include fresh flowers, a plant and fresh fruits and vegetables. Organic is preferred. (See the Feng Shui guidelines for HEALTH)

HOME OFFICE: Choose an area as far away from the bedroom as possible. An outside entrance is ideal. Because this area is tied to wealth, the southeast sector is the best choice, if possible. Display images that reflect the successs of your business. Use lot's of plants, a water feature as simple as a bowl with a Beta fish and maintain good air quality. Of course, make time to de-clutter on a regular basis!
