The following set of quotes are handful of those who have contributed to shaping U.S. History and continue to INSPIRE many... Please enjoy this collage of...
"Antique Wisdom From The United States"...
This piece was printed in a newspaper during The Civil War:
A gentleman, who a few days ago was wandering over the ground recently occupied by a portion of General Early's forces engaged in the "Siege of Washington", picked up the notebook of a Confederate soldier containing the following:
Quoeth Meade to Lee, "Can you tell me, in the shortest style of writing, when people will all get their fill of this big job of fighting?"
Quoeth Lee to Meade, "I can indeed. I'll tell you in a minute...When legislators and speculators are made to enter in it!" - From JOEL CRAIG'S BIVOUAC (A great source of Universal Truth, check it out!)
Wisdom regarding the idea of acceptance and embracing diversity:
"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears the sound of a different drummer. Let him step to the music he hears, however measured or far away." -Henry David Thoreau
The following was taken from memory and was not researched for exact accuracy, but I don't think Wayne will mind if I was off the mark a bit (Polly W.):
"If you want your kids to do everything by the book and go along with everything you say...Don't have them read Thoreau!" - Wayne Dyer
... Ok, so Wayne may not be ancient to you, but to the average 12 year old he is... If you don't know who Wayne Dyer is, Click this: FINANCIAL MINDSET to learn a little about his history.

For some Not So Ancient, Universal Truths, out of the mouths of babes: Check out the LOL Page. I especially liked the answers to the question, "What's the difference between a mom and a dad?"

Wayne would probably say the same about Emerson:
"Every artist was first an amateur." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
Then there's Ben (This one might be good for procrastinators.):
"Well done is better than well said." - Ben Franklin
And from the the very influential and often referred to as "They": UNKNOWN:
"PEACE: It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart." - UNKNOWN
