Healing with herbs is growing in popularity. With their wholesome, yet mysterious image, those who are herb-curious may want to utilize herbs, but do not know where to begin.

Take the mystery out of herbalism and try todays affordable offer to scan your body for the nutritional herbs and supplements that are right for you! As a bonus, each voucher gives you $5 toward the purchase of any of the herbs or supplements you need.

A Compass Scan is a way of assessing what the body needs right now. In a scan, your hand rests on a sensor that sends impulses to your body and reads the electrical and chemical responses from 76 biochemical markers, then analyzes them. This tecnology is also used in medicine and has been shown to be 95% accurate in its findings. It takes only 6 - 8 minutes to complete a scan. The result is a graphic showing how many of the 76 markers are 'out of zone'... meaning they need support, and a list of supplements (usually 3 - 5 supplements) that would be the most beneficial for you.

Deal of the Day

Natural Insect Repellent Choices

Catnip!
Researchers at Iowa State University have uncovered evidence that nepetalactone (the fragrant oil found in catnip) can be a more effective bug repellent than the widely used and toxic, DEET. And not just by a small margin, by as much as (100) one hundred times more effective! This season, try a tincture made from catnip. Make your own or purchase from an herbalist.

Even if you've taken all the necessary precautions (bug lights, spray repellent, a catnip tincture, fly paper, etc...)There could still be that unavoidable bite. The area becomes red, swollen and itchy, annoyingly itchy!

The following is a list of some of the over the counter natural products that can be used to relieve symptoms from insect bites:

  • HERBAL SORE THROAT SPRAY applied to the affected area is good for itch relief. The herbs in the spray are useful in decreasing inflammation, strengthen the immune system, and relieve pain.
  • UNSEASONED MEAT TENDERIZER made into a paste and spread over the itchy area will help decrease inflammation.
  • CUR CUMINmade into a paste and put on the bite will also relieve the symptoms.
  • HOMEOPATHIC CALENDULA as a cream works, as well.

All of these remedies can be applied to the skin several times a day.

This information is for "normal" bug bites. If anyone experiences an increase in severity or unusual symptoms, it is best to consult with your primary care provider.
